Plastic Bread Ties Come In Different Colors for a Reason – Tell You The Day Your Bread Was Baked

File this under “whoda thunk”. Turns out those colored bread ties actually have a purpose in life. They’re a quick way that you can tell the day your bread was baked – letting you chose the freshest loaf from the shelves. I’ve no idea why Wednesday and Sunday aren’t represented – maybe that’s a baking holiday.
