Is Stumbleupon Aspiring To Be A Dating Site?

Is it just me or do some of these profile questions at online link sharing site Stumbleupon seem more appropriate for an online dating site. In the past I’ve used Stumbleupon to discover interesting new Internet links as shared by other users. These links often showed up well in advance of when they might appear on other more mainstream sites such as Digg.

Recently when I went to update my account I discovered a set of rather personal questions that could be answered to update my profile. For example – if I’m just reading interesting Internet links – do I need to know the smoking preference, religion, relationship and sexuality of those who are doing the sharing?

Seems to me that Stumbleupon is setting themselves up to enter the online matchmaking business. I can’t think of another reason for such personal questions unless of course they’re aspiring to be Facebook copycat site # 1,023,4278.
