Avoid LetsTalk Next Day Shipping

The old saying of “you get what you pay for” appears to be true with LetsTalk online celllular phones. The site is a low cost provider of phones and services. They serve as the fulfillment and distribution to popular sites such as Walmart. Recently I replaced a BlackBerry 9700 with the same model and added service to my existing AT&T account. During checkout I was given the option of “Next Day Shipping” – which I gladly paid $14.95 for.

My order was approved after I called (at 9am EST) to answer a few questions. I instantly received emails that the order was picked and ready for shipping. That means I should have the delivery the next day – right? Not so fast.

When my order was showing as “ready to ship” — I knew something was not right and my order was not arrivingĀ  overnight as I had paid extra for. Calling to a dis-interested and bored sounding customer service representative elicited the (expected) response that the overnight charge only guaranteed delivery from when they place the item on the truck.

Since I know (because I’d received alerts from LetsTalk) that my order was approved and picked — that excuse just doesn’t fly.

Word the wise — if you use LetsTalk – don’t pay anything extra for shipping because in all likelihood your order will get to you as quickly as if you’d taken them up on their free shipping offer.
