Google Buzz for Apps Users Still Two Months Away

Google today announced another social sharing site. This is going to be a feature launched from within Gmail as a label called “Buzz” directly under the Inbox label on the left side of your screen. Google is looking to compete with both Facebook and Twitter in the currently hot area of status updates and sharing of items like pictures and videos. Within the week all Gmail users will have access to Buzz. Sadly Google Apps for Domains users – where it might be super handy for inter-company collaboration – will have to wait another two month. The new service looks an awful lot like Friendfeed and begs the question of what happens to Google’s last “great” product announcement – Google Wave.
