BlackBerry 9000 (Bold) – $299 Contract Free
For the last few days (and maybe longer) Amazon has been advertising the BlackBerry Bold 9000 (AT&T) for free after 2 year contract. While that’s a pretty good deal on a solid BlackBerry device – perhaps the better deal is what Amazon will sell this to you without a contract.
While most other BlackBerry devices (including the new BlackBerry 9700) cost well over $450 to buy without a contract – the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is $299. Granted, this is hardly bargain basement pricing however for those whose AT&T BlackBerry needs replacing and are not within the period where they’re eligible for a discount on a contract renewal – it’s not a bad deal. The device will be carrier locked to AT&T so you’ll have to call them for an unlock code if you want to use it on another compatible GSM carrier (this won’t work for Sprint or Verizon who are both CDMA).
