Verizon Wi-Fi Now Free For Their Mobile Broadband Customers

As a Mobile Broadband customer of Verizon I just received an email notifying me that I’m now going to  receive free Wi-Fi from Verizon.  It’s the first that I’ve heard of Verizon having Wi-Fi locations (which is because they don’t). Update: As jkOnTheRun points out this is part of a deal Verizon announced last year. A quick search around my town shows that most of the hotspots are in Barnes & Noble and Starbucks – aka AT&T.

This is a pretty good deal for any of us who enjoy working mobile and not having to worry about using up our 5 GB monthly broadband cap. There’s only one big dealbreaker – sadly Mac OSx computers aren’t eligible!
