Here’s a new BlackBerry color that I haven’t seen before. This purple BlackBerry 8530 (a low end Curve replacement) is available for free (after 2 year contract) on Amazon or for $49 (after $100 rebate) on the Sprint site. In general this phone’s only a good idea for those who need a purple colored BlackBerry. The camera is a 2 megapixel downgrade (the far superior Sprint BlackBerry Tour has 3.2 megapixel camera and 480 x 360-pixel resolution  vs the 320 x 240-pixel resolution  of the 8530).   The phone’s not yet in stock at Amazon but should be appearing soon. Tip: Get the BlackBerry Tour instead.
