Google Nexus One Repair Options (Call HTC)

You’ve just bought a Google Nexus One. The anticipation builds as you take it out of the box and turn it on. Then nothing happens when you try to turn it on. While we have not heard of any “dead on arrival” devices there’s a natural question of how to get a Google Nexus One fixed when you’ve ordered it online direct from Google.

You cannot walk into any of the phone carrier stores to get the superphone repaired as the carrier’s only support the plans and NOT the phone (because they didn’t sell you the phone). Under this new model of phone sales your options are to use the Google Nexus One troubleshooting page or to contact HTC at 1-888-216-4736 seven days a week from 6am to 1am EST. If you’ve had to call this phone line or send in a Google Nexus One for repairs be sure you leave some feedback in the comments as to what your experiences are.  This is one of the first major phone launches where the cell phone carriers will not be acting as a repair/warranty source for a phone on their network and it will be interesting to observe how gracefully repairs are handled.
