Study Finds Most Wii Fit Users Don’t Become Fit
A new University of Minnesota study tells us pretty much what we already could have guessed. Users of the Wii Fit start with workout times of 22 minutes per day. After three months when the newness had worn off the time trailed off to 4 minutes per day.
After measuring the impact of in-home Wii Fit use by eight North American families over a six-month period, researchers concluded that the game failed to produce any “significant changes in daily physical activity, muscular fitness, flexibility, balance or body composition” for the families as a whole.
