I’ll be damned if I can figure how this Palm Pre drop in charger supplies power

palm pre chargerThe Palm Pre charging plug is in the side. I don’t remember there being a connection in the base. My guess is this charging accessory image left out an awkward cable that they expect you to connect and disconnect every time you mount the Pre.

It does appear to have an extra battery charger in the base.
