Droid Protective Film – Peel Off or Keep On?

Anyone figure out yet whether the protective film on the BACK of the Droid’s LCD screen should be peeled off? There’s a lively discussion happening at Howardforums that debates whether to peel off the plastic backing from the Droid slider or leave it alone. The consensus seems to be to take it off with some saying they’ve chatted with an official Motorola customer service rep who ok’d the peeling.
