[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7wtBqBNrNo[/youtube]When I bought my T-Mobile BlackBerry 9700 I had one heck of a time getting the battery door off. This seemingly simple task was tough to figure out (and I didn’t notice any special instructions on how to do it). The difficulty in removing the BlackBerry 9700 cover is a change from most RIM BlackBerry doors which in the past tend to either be loose or secured by obvious latches which allow them to pop right off. There’s apparently a trick (the first time I used my fingernails to pry it). Instead you should turn the BlackBerry 9700 (Bold 2) over and use light thumb pressure in the middle of the lower 1/3 of the batter door to gently push downward. Watch the video to learn how.
