ATT Launches BlackBerry Bold 9700 – $199 after $100 Rebate/Contract

If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your AT&T BlackBerry Bold – for a BlackBerry Bold – now is your moment. AT&T today went live with their BlackBerry Bold 9700 at $299 before 2 year service contract and $100 rebate (net cost is $199). Think of this as the BlackBerry Tour with a track pad and Wi-Fi. There’s only 256 MB on-board memory (the Bold 9000 it replaces had 1GB) but the new screen is 480×360 (as compared to 480×32 on the Bold 9000)  and you can use up to a 32 GB microSD to load media like music and movies. AT&T is also happy to sell it outright for $449 with no contract.
